A typical treatment

A treatment, or balance, will take between 30 and 60 minutes and are carried out fully clothed.
After taking your medical history and lifestyle information, the practitioner will assess your whole body using observation, muscle testing and palpation.
With this diagnosis, the practitioner will then use various non-invasive techniques, depending on your condition, the assessment and the situation. Those techniques can include soft tissue pressure, mobilisation, massage, visceral or cranial balancing.
A key aspect of all techniques is the use of natural body movement (Taijutsu), which uses no strength, to induce movement and changes.
A practitioner will work on your body’s structure, but also consider nutrition, energy, emotion and environment to work holistically.
A balance can be vigorous or extremely gentle and are suitable for people of all age groups and those with limited mobility. The vast majority of clients find the treatment very relaxing.
The number of treatments required will vary depending on individual conditions.
Your therapist will also be able to give aftercare advice.
